The Basics of ORCA

ORCA is an innovative platform that helps dentists grow and manage their practices. A convenient one-stop shop for accessing existing services and selecting new ones, ORCA enables dental practitioners to keep track of patient appointments, calendar reminders, upcoming equipment repairs, and more.

What Is a Service App?

The services featured on the platform are also referred to as Service Applications, or simply “Service Apps”. As a developer, you can create an array of Service Apps, each representing a specific service offered by your company or business, such as hygiene recare scheduling or new patient insurance verification, for example. There is no limit to the number of Service Apps you can create. You can even bundle services together and offer cost savings for ORCA users.

How Dentists Can Find and Install Your Service Apps

Once a Service App is created and approved, it will be automatically added to ORCA’s Marketplace. The Marketplace features all available services and solutions provided by ORCA’s affiliated partners. Here, dentists can browse Service Apps and select those they wish to install. If your Service App is selected, it will appear in the Services section of the account owner’s platform. Then, depending on the type of service and approved permissions, you will have the ability to access and modify the account owner’s calendar, inbox, and patient records.
